From Office Conversations to Real-World Hygiene 

At Hygiene Depot, hygiene is what we do best, but it’s also something we live every day. Like many workplaces, our office has a fair few dogs between us, which means plenty of muddy walks and damp car boots once winter rolls around. 

One afternoon, we got talking about how much we all dread those cold, wet walks, the towel that never dries, the car that smells like a pond, and the washing machine constantly running for the sake of one dog towel. Someone wondered aloud: “Is there such a thing as a disposable version?” 

Most of what we found were expensive microfibre towels that still needed washing, which felt impractical and wasteful. The conversation didn’t end there, though. It made us realise there was space for a more sustainable, everyday solution that actually fits into modern life. 

That idea eventually led to the creation of PRO Pet Towels - biodegradable, single-use towels designed for the messy moments that every pet owner knows too well. 

Extending Hygiene Beyond the Workplace 

For decades, Hygiene Depot has supplied hygiene products to workplaces across the UK, from healthcare and education to agriculture and hospitality. Our focus has always been the same. But hygiene doesn’t stop when the workday ends. It’s part of everyday life, from wiping down surfaces at home to cleaning muddy paws after a long walk. 

Expanding into pet care isn’t a shift away from what we do; it’s an extension of it. We’re bringing the same commitment to hygiene and practicality that our business customers rely on, into a space that touches the lives of many of those very same people, at home, with their pets, or in their businesses.

While PRO Pet Towels were inspired by the dog owners in our own team, they can prove useful for dog groomers, walkers, kennels, and pet care professionals too.
