Hot Air Dryers

We don’t like selling Hot Air Dryers because people don’t like using them. We would advise against them if you have a number of staff taking their break at the same time – they will have to queue.

A variety of reports have come out over the years on the hygiene aspects of using hot air dryers. One in the USA some years ago found that bacteria were being actively circulated around the room, and prompted a number of hospitals to ban them. Another in the UK discovered that because so many people washed their hands very briefly, the majority of bacteria were being removed by the towel. There are lots of so-called "independent" reports available on the internet, but check who sponsored them...

That said, there are some situations where a hot air dryer makes sense (eg. in frequently vandalised, rarely frequented or unsupervised toilets).
